Robert W. Boudreaux, a beloved native of Lafayette and cherished resident of Broussard for over 30 years, passed away leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith, sportsmanship and dedication to his community. A devout parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, Robert exemplified his commitment to faith and service as a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3202. He dedicated 34 years of service to the organization as the State Office Administrator.
An avid sports enthusiast, Robert was widely known and respected in both local and national sports circles. A distinguished member of the United States Specialty Sports Association National Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Halls of Fame of Louisiana, Texas, Georgia and New Mexico. His lifelong dedication to youth sports included leadership in Louisiana USSSA Junior Golf, as well as an active role in the Teurlings Catholic High School Alumni and Rebel Open Committee Chairman.
As head coach for Teurlings Catholic High School golf program from 2005 to 2024, Robert's mentorship and skill guided his team to numerous State Championships and winning the title twice, earning him admiration from students, colleagues, and the community alike. He also shared a deep passion for the University of Louisiana Ragin Cajuns Athletic programs, faithfully supporting them year after year as a proud alumnus.
Above all, Robert cherished his family. He and his devoted wife, Liz, were eagerly anticipating their 50th wedding anniversary on November 23, a milestone that symbolized the enduring love and partnership they shared.
Robert will be remembered for his strength of character, kindness, and the countless lives he touched through his dedication to faith, sports and family.
Robert was a proud father to Lynzie (TCH 1999) and Bo (TCH 2008). He was the most amazing Gator (grandfather) to his three little loves, Genevieve Hoffpauir, Vivienne Hoffpauir and Rose Boudreaux.
